BJD to begin 10-day Jana Sampark Padayatra from October 2


The ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has decided to launch its ‘Jan Sampark Padayatra’ from October 2 (Gandhi Jayanti). The 10-day Padayatra will continue till October 11, which is the birth anniversary of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan (JP).
The BJD will highlight the ‘achievements’ of the Naveen Patnaik’led state government and make people aware about the central negligence during its 10-day padayatra.
The ruling party, which has been at the receiving end due to the drought situation and power crisis in the state, held a press meet to announce its decision. The press meet was addressed by Pratap Keshri Deb, Samir Ranjan Das and Pratap Jena.
